Title Text for DVD cover

To create the DVD cover text I wanted to do something different as felt that is all the text was the same on the DVD cover it would be too boring and samey, and instead I wanted the DVD title to stand out more and so needed to made differently to the other text.
After looking at the previous DVD covers I decided that it needed to be big and clear so that the consumer will see what the DVD is about straight away.
When researching DVD covers and looking at Star Wars I liked the idea of the the starting scene text shown in the picture below:

I liked the effect that this crawling text had, as gave the illusion of it disappearing into space. Although I didn't want to replicate this completely, I wanted to create a similar effect for my DVD title.

I started using the text tool to write the text 'When two Worlds Collide' and then began to explore how I could edit the standard form.
I first looked at different texts, but after changing a few thought it best to continue to match the rest of the font so kept the same font, as after alteration it would still be easy to read.
I altered the size first to make it larger, and the colour, to which I changed to a pale blue as felt that this then matched the sky and moon and was bright enough to read upon the black background of the space sky.

I used the warp text button to alter the text further, I first began by altering the horizontal distortion which altered the angle of the text and tilted it backwards, similar to the effect of the Star Wars text, I altered it to the level which I found appropriate. I also did the same with the vertical distortion which alters its depth of the letters.

I also further changed the text by changing the style, and I did this by changing it to an arc. The arc made the text go upwards, and so instead I used arc lower, which made the text bowl downwards. I liked this effect.
Then I began to look at the title placement. I decided that I wanted it to be different from the normal DVD covers that place it in the centre, and with the angle that I had created, thought that I could place it under the moon, at the bottom the cover, against the normal top of page ideology.
The moon shape helped to place emphasis on the title and drew attention to it and tied both elements together.
