Final DVD cover additions

When I had added the main features to my DVD cover there were some further additions that I wanted to do.

These were little additions that drew the DVD cover together and finished it off.
These were small additions that when I researched previous DVD covers they also appeared on, and these can be things that gave information about whether it contained language or violence.

I felt that not only was the back cover missing a lot, as had a lot of blank spaces, that the front cover also was missing something.
For the front cover I looked through my own personal pictures to see what else I could add, and then in turn wouldn't have to worry about copyright. I wanted to use a sci fi picture, or something the related to the DVD genre, and decided to use a picture of a dragon that I had taken at a musical I went to see.

I used the Quick Selection Tool here again to select only the dragon from the picture to insert into my DVD cover.  This was reasonably hard to do, as the dragon wings merged into the background due to the very similar colour of the two objects.
The feet were also reasonably hard to get as they were so tiny and awkwardly shaped, but after much perseverance I was able to select the whole dragon.
I then saved the dragon, and then placed into the DVD cover, and was able to move it to where I thought was appropriate.  I was also able to alter the angle by using the transform and rotate selections, and then when the corner arrows appeared I altered the angle to make the dragon appear as it was flying.
I did not alter the dragon in any other way, as the colour of the wings with the light shining up fitted in with the DVD cover as the light from the planet was what appeared to be shining on the dragon.
I did however have to blend the feet in slightly, as they had a harsh outline and looked out of place, and as though the dragon had been placed here and was not part of the  picture. I did this my using the blur tool.

When I looked at other DVD covers, they had barcodes on them, and so decided that this was something that I could also implement into the cover. I simply got a picture of a barcode and inserted it onto a new layer and placed it where I wanted it.
I also added some text onto the DVD cover that was official text that also appeared on others, and so I looked at these, used the same wording and added this using the text tool and changing the size of the words.  I also used the text tool a further two times.
Once with the text that appeared in the centre, explaining the title, actors, and studios. I did this in the same style of other DVD covers and was needed to alter the size within the same text box, and again with the 4 stars 'Magnificent' text.

I also finally added a white rectangle but using the rectangle tool, and paint bucket tool, and was able to add the certificate 15 symbol, and text that explained that it contained mild language and horror.
